• Koyandy lake
  

  Koyandy lake is located in the southeastern province of Almaty of Kazakhstan at an altitude of 1,900 meters above sea level and well-known for the trees that comes out of the water. The lake was originated in 1911 as a result of the earthquake. The depth of the lake is around 25 meters and 400 meters in length. In summer water temperature reaches only 6 degrees above zero.

 

 

• Sharyn Canyon
  

  Sharyn Canyon is an 80 km canyon on the Sharyn River, 200 km east of Almaty, close to the Chinese border. It is famous for its beautiful landscape of the river the type of trees sprouted 25 million years ago, that nowadays can be found only in South America and Sharyn Canyon.

 

• Katon-karagai
  

  Katon-karagai is a unique place in Kazakhstan, with the National Park located there. It has a very beautiful nature - forests , sub-alpine meadows, lakes , rivers and mountains. The reserve area is famous for a diverse fauna. There are such species as moose, bears, deer, ermine, sable and many other rare species of wildlife.

• Borovoe
  

  Borovoe is considered to be the most popular resort in Kazakhstan for the nature, fresh air and recreation centers. This place is visited by tourists to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery, swimming in summer and skiing in winter.

Astana capital attractions

 

• Baiterek monument
  

  Located in Astana, with length of 97 meters symbioses the year of establishing of the new capital (1997). It was built in 2002. It has a picturesque view to the park areas around the monument.

 

 

 

• Nur Astana Mosque
  

  The mosque was built for the grant by the Government of the State of Qatar. The official opening was held in March, 2005. Located on the area 4000 sq.m. The height of minarets reaches 63 meters and golden cupola -40 meters. Capacity of the mosque is around 5 000 prayers. The Nur Astana mosque is considered to be one of the largest mosques in Central Asia.
